Reading Adventures: Fish in a Tree

scroll6

In today's Reading Adventure, we shine a spotlight on "Fish in a Tree" by Lynda Mullaly Hunt.

Ally is a 6th grader who doesn't 'fit the mold' in her classes. Her creativity can't mask her difficulties with reading and writing. Ally must find ways (and people) to embrace her dyslexia, and to build her confidence in knowing that everyone has different strengths. And, it's middle school, where things are just 'weird' anyway.

We won't give away any spoilers, so if you have a pre-teen with dyslexia, teach kids with dyslexia, or just want some insight into their thoughts and feelings, this is a must-read. Although a work of fiction, it portrays what our kids face on a daily basis.

We recommend that you add this to your family reading list! And, check out the website to learn more: https://lyndamullalyhunt.com/books/fish-in-a-tree/
